Aardappelshop.nl was founded in 2017 by Dirk Jan van Lonkhuyzen. Dirk Jan grew up among the potatoes on an arable farm in Randwijk, Gelderland. Initially, Aardappelshop only offered potatoes grown by his parents' company. Over the years, more and more farmers have joined. Currently, products from over seven different farmers are offered. Aardappelshop is now active in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany.
