Abt began as a small shop near Logan Square in Chicago with just three employees. It has since grown into one of the largest independent single-store appliance and electronics retailers in the country, located on a 75-acre campus in Glenview, Illinois, with over 1,600 trained specialists. Today, Abt offers tens of thousands of products across categories including appliances/custom kitchens, gourmet cooking, home comfort (HVAC, generators, and sump pumps), TVs and A/V, computers, furniture, mattresses, watches, fitness, and more—many of which launched exclusively at Abt before gaining widespread distribution.
