Academy Sports + Outdoors is a sporting goods retail chain in the United States. It has its corporate office at the Katy Distribution Center in western Harris County, Texas, located near Katy and west of Houston. It was a privately held company owned by the Gochman family until it was acquired by KKR in May 2011. In October 2020, it went public on the Nasdaq.
