Anna Rabinowicz founded ANNA New York in 2002 in her grandmother's basement in Queens, New York. It is a family business that has been a matriarchy from the very beginning. Her mother and grandmother placed small rubber feet on the bottom of our first design, agate gemstone coasters, and handled shipping. After Anna's grandmother passed away, her young daughter Talia joined our company to help with design development. Today, we remain a company owned and operated by women.
