Founded in 2015, Anycubic has become one of the most popular 3D printer brands on the market, with around 300 employees in Shenzhen, China. However, we didn't start out with the grand vision we have today.
"After graduating in 2015, I returned to China from New Zealand. When I first arrived in Shenzhen, I was extremely excited and full of curiosity," said Mr. Ouyang, co-founder of Anycubic and a PhD graduate from the University of Auckland. "Anycubic's founder and CEO, Ouyang Lu, is a childhood friend of mine. Before Anycubic, he ran a company that supplied electronic modules and 3D printer accessories for over four years." "The 3D printer itself wasn't our first choice. We didn't even have the confidence to jump right in. But after seeing customers become increasingly reliant on the key components of our DIY printers, we realized we could do it—and do it better."
