ArtSugar founder Alix Greenberg was born and raised in New York City. Before founding the company in 2017, she worked in the fine art industry for nearly a decade. Holding a BFA from Cornell University and a master's degree from Christie's Education, Alix combined her passion for painting and art history with her desire to give back to the community, and ArtSugar was born. Alix operates ArtSugar from New York City's West Village. She is a member of the Female Founder Collective, a 2019 winner of The Jewish Week's 36 Under 36, an alumna of Project Entrepreneur (Rent the Runway Foundation x UBS), and an alumna of VentureCrush.
ArtSugar is a female-founded e-commerce retailer that pioneered art curation for the Instagram generation. ArtSugar solves the challenges Millennials and Gen Z face when purchasing art, successfully bridging the gap between mass-produced wall art and home decor and the high-end original art market through an exclusive selection of eye-catching, affordable pop art prints and decor from artists on Instagram, curated by founder and fine artist Alix Greenberg. ArtSugar provides a seamless e-commerce platform for people to buy the art they "like" on social media and other platforms.
