Burkes Outlet is a privately held company owned by the founding family and its employees. The outlet began in 1987 as an idea from ER Beall, son of Bealls department store founder Robert M. Beall, Sr. The new chain opened three locations in Florida as Bealls Outlets and quickly expanded with additional stores across the state, as well as new locations in Arizona. In 1998, the Bay Minette, Alabama store launched under the Burkes name, and now Burkes Outlet stores serve communities across 13 states from Nevada to Virginia.
Burkes Outlet's mission is to offer savvy shoppers the best deals on women's, children's, and men's clothing, shoes, and handbags, along with new styles in accessories, home, and beauty products.
