Burned Sports was born out of a passion for basketball, starting as a small shop opened by a young man with big dreams in a small village. After playing high school basketball for the Zalma Bulldogs in the United States for a year, Floris de Jongh (17) was determined to bring colorful American basketball sneakers and designer performance shoes to the Netherlands under the name Burned Basketball. At that time, high-quality basketball shoes were not available anywhere. Dutch basketball players quickly fell in love with the shoes, and the business grew rapidly. It was only a matter of time before the clothing brand Burned was born and propelled the company to become a well-known name in the Dutch basketball scene.
