French luxury giant LVMH has launched an online shopping platform called Clos19 for premium champagne, wine, and spirits. Stephanie Watine Arnault, the niece of LVMH CEO Bernard Arnault, is the founder of Clos19. She has worked at several LVMH subsidiaries, including Marc Jacobs and Louis Vuitton.
In French, "Clos" means vineyard, while "19" represents Stephanie Watine Arnault's preference for 19th-century style, hence the platform name Clos19.
Stephanie Watine Arnault stated: "Clos19 uses digital means to convey the value of the art of living in a modern and playful way, offering our consumers perfect products and experiences."
Consumers can purchase their favorite premium alcoholic beverages through Clos19. Moreover, Clos19 also provides catering services, including dinners for 12 or more people and wedding events for 150 or more guests. Products range from limited-edition wines like Chateau d'Yquem to the Dom Pérignon Champagne Vasque designed by French designer Martin Szekely, as well as Riedel champagne glasses specially designed for Krug.
