GOBI began with the Mongolian government's decision to establish a cashmere and camel wool processing plant in Ulaanbaatar, with funding from the Japanese government. After years of effort, Gobi opened the first factory in Mongolia for cashmere and camel wool production facilities, technology, and machinery. GOBI became the first factory in Mongolia to receive international quality trophies and certificates, introduced the international standard ISO-9000, and is proud to export 98% of its products.
