The "Good Moon Mood" team behind the Moon Pants includes former product designers and project managers from Taiwan's Moon Cup project, with nearly 10 years of experience promoting and using modern menstrual products like tampons and menstrual cups.
After helping complete the Taiwan Moon Cup project, we noticed an eco-friendly feminine product emerging worldwide: underwear that directly absorbs menstrual blood. Unlike menstrual cups, which require overcoming the psychological barrier of insertion, these absorbent panties are worn just like regular underwear, requiring almost no additional product learning time for users.
However, like menstrual cups, the "price + shipping" cost of purchasing these panties from overseas online stores is quite high, discouraging many women. As a result, this eco-friendly menstrual product never had a chance to become popular in Taiwan... Hearing this, the passionate menstrual spirit of "Good Moon Mood" ignited once again!
Building on the design experience of the Moon Cup, the Moon Pants team spent over a year sourcing exclusive MIT functional materials, and in August 2018 launched the patent-designed Asian version of "Absorbent Moon Pants" tailored to Asian women's needs. The initial pre-order of 3,500 pairs sold out within 3 days. Amid widespread anticipation, the "Moon Pants" officially launched in January 2019.
