Harbinger was founded in 1988 by fitness enthusiast and entrepreneur David McCrane, quickly becoming the go-to brand for weightlifters and strength trainers worldwide. It all started with an innovative wrist-stabilizing glove. McCrane initially aimed to reduce wrist injuries among skateboarders, but soon realized the benefits of his product for weightlifters. In partnership with eight-time Mr. Olympia bodybuilder Lee Haney, they pioneered Harbinger as a source of high-quality, well-designed gloves, belts, and strength training accessories.
