Highlights for Children, often simply called Highlights, is an American children's magazine. It began publication in June 1946, founded by Garry Cleveland Myers and his wife Caroline Clark Myers in Honesdale, Pennsylvania. Highlights magazine embodies their philosophy of helping children become "the best person they can be" by engaging their creativity and imagination; developing their reading, thinking, and reasoning skills; and learning to treat others with respect, kindness, and sensitivity.
