The history of K-SWISS dates back to the 1960s, when the fashion wave began to flourish. At that time, two brothers from Switzerland, Art Brunner and Ernie Brunner, came to California, USA, in pursuit of their dreams. Despite the long journey, they were full of anticipation for their new life in California, hoping to establish their own footwear brand. During the process of building the brand, the two brothers drew inspiration from ski boots and created the world's first all-leather tennis shoe, "THE CLASSIC." Its simple yet stylish design made the shoe highly popular upon its release. Seizing the opportunity, the brothers officially founded K-SWISS in 1966, marking the beginning of a footwear brand that would leave a lasting impact.
