Founder Kasuni comes from a diverse background. From a biology student to a design school graduate, she became a Chartered Marketer from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) in the UK, and then completed her Master’s degree (MBA) at the prestigious Postgraduate Institute of Management, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka. After graduating from design school, she joined Sri Lanka’s booming apparel industry as a creative designer. In 2011, she launched her own brand, K?R, with the aim of creating "one-of-a-kind" clothing collections. From the very beginning, she has incorporated handmade lace into contemporary fashion.
