MINNA was founded by Sara Berks in 2013 in Brooklyn, New York, and relocated to Hudson, New York in 2016, where our storefront and studio now reside. We collaborate with master artisans in Central and South America to create versatile products, preserving craftsmanship and generating employment opportunities in these regions. Our patterns, colors, and textures are designed for mixing, matching, and layering in today's modern homes. Design inspirations draw from feminist art, Bauhaus, traditional craftsmanship, and vintage textiles.
The name MINNA comes from Sara's maternal grandmother, a name that emerged when she arrived in the United States from Germany in 1940. Sara loves this story: nostalgic with a hint of rebellion.
