Mochi Kids started as Amanda's hobby and later grew into a family business. When Amanda's son was four years old, he was obsessed with Thomas the Tank Engine. In fact, he wanted to wear the same Thomas the Tank Engine shirt day after day. Amanda grew tired of that shirt but still wanted him to feel happy in his clothes, so I started making T-shirts we both loved, with designs inspired by his favorite things, using aesthetics and materials I could stand behind. At first, I only designed and screen-printed T-shirts for my son, but demand slowly grew. I started giving my T-shirts as baby gifts, then selling them to friends and family, and eventually Mochi Kids was born.
