1911 -The year Giuseppe Montanelli founded his first fabric store. With the continuous growth driven by his son Amedeo, the company opened Sartoria Montanelli “Maestri Sartori” in 1942, one of the earliest of its kind in Tuscany, until his son Giuseppe took over the business in 1955 by adding a significant ready-to-wear division. In 1988, while maintaining the historic Montanelli store, Giuseppe decided to embark on a new venture, no longer as the Italian agent for the French designer, but as the producer of his new brand “Golf and Leisure” By Montanelli. Over the years, the brand stood out nationwide, supported by advertisements and editorials in major newspapers.
