NIUCOCO was born in Canada in 2014 with a simple mission: to create the most effective and safest hair care products that repair damage, making hair look and feel better than ever. NIUCOCO's lead scientist, Yasmine, a woman with dry, brittle, and split-ended hair, was frustrated by the lack of hair care products that could deliver on their promises. Disheartened by the current hair products on the market, she only found items that masked the problem, never solving it. As an adult with dry, damaged, and over-processed hair, she tried all the promoted products: pharmacy brands, salon brands, and sponsored brands. Unfortunately, nothing worked. These were products that couldn't live up to their claims.
Yasmine's mother, originally from the West Indies, had always used coconut oil to nourish her hair as a child, but as she grew up, this practice was forgotten in her personal routine. She returned to that simple apothecary remedy, adding a little coconut oil to her hair, and saw results in a very short time. Her hair looked and felt better and healthier.
