In 2015, Simon Apperley @simonapperley7 returned to his hometown in New Zealand, inspired by the pure southern light and epic landscapes. Simon had a great camera and an ever-growing collection of lenses. But he struggled to find high-quality filters. In every store, he faced a confusing wall of poorly packaged, jargon-heavy, ordinary glass and expensive filters. He thought, there must be a better way! So Simon took on the challenge and began designing filters using the highest quality materials. He tested, and tested again, and committed to a range covering every aspect of photography. Then he added a lifetime professional warranty.
The Okko brand launched and grew rapidly, with over 38 stores in New Zealand selling our products. Okko has now expanded to Australia and the United States.
