After studying Fashion and Textile Management at the University of Leeds, Olivia von Halle worked as a trend forecaster at The Future Laboratory in London for clients including Louis Vuitton, Gucci Group, and Lamborghini. In 2008, she moved to Shanghai, China, where she continued working as a trend forecaster and luxury brand consultant for various agencies.
After returning home from nights out with friends, she longed to escape high heels and tight clothing and slip into something glamorous while enjoying a gin and tonic before bed. Inspired by the lounge pajamas worn by Coco Chanel and her contemporaries in the 1920s, she began collaborating with a tailor to design the perfect pair. In 2011, she returned to London to launch the Olivia von Halle brand.
