Founded in New York in 2014, PH5 is a premium contemporary women's knitwear brand created by Weilin, the daughter of a large knitwear manufacturer, and designed by the award-winning Parsons graduate Zoe Champion. The brand challenges the traditional perception of knitwear by combining whimsical designs with the architectural dimensions of knitting technology.
The name PH5 is based on the pH scale, which ranges from 0 to 14, with 7 being neutral. If 7 represents an androgynous, neutral brand and 1 represents an extremely feminine or sexy brand, PH5 leans toward the avant-garde while maintaining femininity.
Innovative, practical, and extremely stylish knitwear is at the core of PH5. Named after its scientific term, PH5 aims to inspire a complete rethinking of knitwear and show the world that knitwear is not just a winter fabric. Knitwear is breathable, lightweight, colorful, and fashion-forward.
