From the very beginning, this intriguing, nonconformist brand identity has felt like a journey through time and space. We created products with bold lines to symbolize the unique character of those who wear these shoes—people brave enough to face life's challenges.
In 1985, Rucoline's founder and CEO, Marco Santucci, was a young landlord in Bocachica. He bought colorful shoes woven with fishing needles every day from a Haitian woman in the area. Collecting them one pair at a time, he brought them to Italy with the idea of embarking on an extraordinary adventure.
