Runderwear founders Jamie and Richard met at Loughborough University when they were placed on the same corridor in the Halls of Residence and immediately became friends. Both had an incredible passion for sport - Richard was a track and cross-country runner, while Jamie played most sports, especially football. After university, Jamie took up running and decided to enter the New York Marathon. There, he realized that although he was wearing highly technical outer layers, he had on his usual everyday underwear, which caused him great discomfort. Jamie searched for some performance underwear at the New York Marathon Expo but could only find a pair of large women's hot pants! Not ideal! When Jamie returned to the UK, he and Richard began searching for good running underwear; they tried several brands but none were right, so they decided to make their own - and Runderwear was born!
Fast forward to winning "Best Underwear and Socks Brand" at the 2018 Running Awards, and the Runderwear range has expanded to include different styles of performance underwear, running bras, socks, leggings, and triathlon suits. As the Runderwear product range has grown, Runderwear's focused ethos remains dedicated to creating friction-free comfort for runners.
