Our designer David Tourniaire is a legend in the footwear industry! As the son of a French shoemaking family, he has designed shoe collections for brands such as Martin Margiela, Riccardo Tisci's Givenchy, Chloé, Stella McCartney, Isabel Marant, Ferragamo, and more. He was the mastermind behind the groundbreaking design of the 1990s sneaker brand Nobox, as well as the iconic Balenciaga Triple S sneaker created in collaboration with Demna Gvasalia—a shoe that sparked the recent revival of designer athletic and athleisure footwear.
David came up with the idea for the brand 53045 while running on a treadmill, noticing that the numbers 53045 spelled SHOES backwards—a sign from above that it was time for him to start his own brand!
