Slam Jam was founded by Luca Benini in 1989, born to serve the underground long before the term streetwear even existed. Based in its headquarters in Ferrara, far from the European fashion establishment, Slam Jam was able to connect with like-minded individuals around the world, guided by art, music, and club culture, thereby honing its own unique and highly distinctive style, and becoming the first importer in Italy of then-unknown brands such as Stussy.
Starting from a small warehouse on the outskirts of Ferrara, over the past nearly 30 years, Slam Jam has become a globally recognized cultural institution, earning its seal of approval for representing urban subcultures through clothing and merchandise.
