For over 65 years, we have been offering unique products to our core guests aged 18 to 24—energetic, tech-savvy, independent, and always inspired by humor and irreverence. Spencer's started as a mail-order company in 1947 and opened its first retail store in 1963 at the Cherry Hill Mall in New Jersey. From the beginning, Spencer's quickly became an oasis in the mall environment, providing an entertaining experience for our guests through its merchandise and product mix, and grew into a national chain by the mid-1970s.
