WALLIS is a High Street womenswear brand under the British retail group Arcadia. WALLIS excels at using diverse color palettes to create fashion-forward clothing and accessories, emphasizing elegance with personality. Design-driven, its style is mature and sophisticated. Founded in 1923, WALLIS began as a small boutique in Islington, founded by Raphael Wallis.
In 1950, WALLIS established an in-house design team (the WALLIS team remains committed to producing its own design products to this day), consisting of five designers who launched 10 different outfits each season. This design-led approach uniquely interprets the latest trends while reinforcing WALLIS's distinctive dressing philosophy. In 1980, WALLIS became part of the Sears Group, and in 1990 it was acquired by Philip Green and transferred to the Arcadia Group.
