Will & Bear was born in 2015 in the place that inspires us most: on the road. Alex (Bear) was searching for a hat that wasn’t intimidating, was practical, durable, and felt natural in the Australian outdoors. Loz (Will) watched Alex struggle to find something he felt comfortable wearing. When we couldn’t find what we were looking for, we set out to create it.
We designed our first collection from scratch for both men and women. We took a simple approach to our designs, while respecting what came before us, to create a timeless aesthetic. We carefully chose our materials, prioritizing natural fibers, knowing that what we make will eventually return to where it began. Our first collection was made from 100% Australian wool, reflecting the earthy tones of the Australian landscape. We apply this approach to every new style we create.
