Jay Strongwater began his career as a jewelry designer, but his work has long since transcended jewelry design, showcasing remarkable decorative talent in home furnishings, ornaments, and various other areas. Jay Feinberg was born in 1960 in Woodmere, a suburb of New York, and demonstrated artistic talent at a very young age. His parents and teachers encouraged him to study weaving, fringe lace, painting, and metalwork, and he later pursued advanced studies at the renowned Rhode Island School of Design.
His outstanding design career originated from the beaded jewelry skills taught by his mother. These beautiful beaded pieces brought him into the high-end fashion circle, attracting the attention of world-renowned fashion magazines. Jay's first frame design became a legend—in 1994, during the early days of his first New York studio, he had a spontaneous idea to create a frame adorned with Swarovski crystals. This frame brought him great fame, and from then on, he embarked on a career in homeware design.
